More and more immigrants are prevented from entering Russia. During the eight months of 2026, 75.8% more foreigners received an entry ban than in the same period last year, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin announced these data on his Max channel. The main reason is administrative expulsion and deportation: within nine months, 63,500 violators were deported from the country. The list of articles has also become stricter: now a foreigner can be deported according to 45 charges instead of the previous 22. Among the new ones are defamation of the RF armed forces, offensive postings on the Internet, drug trafficking and pedophilia propaganda.
