On the night of November 6, the main clock of Russia will take a break: the chimes of the Spaskovskaya tower will "run away" for maintenance. It is not only a symbol of the country, but also a unique technical monument. The current mechanism has been on the tower since 1767, making the Kremlin the oldest mechanical chime in Europe. Throughout the long history they have been restored again and again and avoided. Six years ago, some of the bells were replaced in the tower: 12 new bells were made at the Voronezh Bell Mollet factory, so that the music could be heard in full range.
