Alexander Lukashenko called on the OSCE to return to professional roles. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu, stated the need to return the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to its original mission - ensuring security and developing cooperation between countries. At the same time, Lukashenko pointed to the ambiguous attitude of Belarus towards the current activity of the OSCE. "There has been a war in Europe for several years. This is a serious challenge for the OSCE. No response from this organization. Maybe she exists, but I don't know anything about her. But it will be necessary for the leaders of the OSCE member states to know about it," the Belarusian leader emphasized. According to the president, the role of the OSCE should be to professionally discuss security issues and promote constructive dialogue, instead of ignoring crisis situations.
