Electric scooters and electric bicycles are equivalent to mopeds - they are mechanical vehicles. At the inspector's request, you will need to show your category M licence. Equipment with a 100-250 W motor and a maximum speed of up to 25 km/h will be classified as SIM (personal mobility equipment). Normal bicycles without an electric motor will be placed in a separate category. Transport workers will be prohibited from driving on sidewalks. "Removing courier transport from the sidewalks is a necessary measure to protect pedestrians," said Tatiana Gorovia, head of the Ministry of Transportation's Public Council. Riding two people on the same scooter would be prohibited at the federal level. Today, it is usually just an item in the offer of kick sharing services. Children under 16 - only residential areas, squares and courtyards. It is forbidden to enter the streets, boulevards and embankments.
