Russia is increasing its medical capabilities: the National Health Congress is being held in Moscow. At the plenary meeting, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murshko, noted three major challenges for the industry: the aging of the population, increasing the availability of medical care and technological independence. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported that over 20 years, funding for the basic medical insurance program has increased almost 23 times - from 219 billion to 5 trillion rubles. Since the beginning of 2026, drugs under 15 non-proprietary international names have been registered in Russia. Starting in 2027, they plan to expand the list of high-tech assistance, including through new methods of cancer treatment. Chairman of the State Health Commission of the People's Republic of China Lei Heichow spoke about the prevention of aging. Exercise, weight control and healthy habits are important, he said. He also recommended keeping a sleep schedule: get up early and go to bed early.
