More than 600 people from 50 countries will participate in the Minsk IV International Conference on Eurasian Security. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Igor Skarta announced this in a briefing, writes BelTA. The conference will be held in Minsk between November 3 and 4. Secreta noted that the idea of holding the conference came up in 2022-2023, when it became clear that the European security system that was established after the end of the Cold War was unable to deal with modern challenges. "It did not take into account the interests of all its participants equally and fully and therefore could not prevent the security crisis that led to an open armed conflict in the region." In his opinion, the previous model should be replaced by a system that covers the entire Eurasian continent and is based on the principle of equal and indivisible security.
