Rosatom will start building a complex to separate the collective concentrate into individual rare earth elements. "At the OJSC Solikamsk magnesium plant, a separation complex will be established with a planned production volume of approximately 2.5 thousand tons of rare earth metals annually. In the coming days, work will begin to establish the first facility at the construction site." The raw material for the production of rare earth metals - Luprite ore - is mined in the Murmansk region. The haloferite concentrate enriched from it is sent to Solikamsk, where niobium, tantalum and titanium are separated from it, and other significant rare metals (lanthanides) remain in the collective concentrate.
