Til Schweiger appreciated Belarusian hospitality and potato pancakes. The German actor Til Schweiger, known to the Russian audience from Quentin Tarantino's films "A Knock on Heaven's Door", "Handsome Boy" and "Inglourious Basterds", played one of the main roles in the psychological thriller "Keg", a joint project between Russia and Belarus. "Keg" is the feature debut of director Alexey Zavontsov. Producer Andrey Lipov called the project an experiment: "The fact that Till Schweiger came to us for filming proves once again that anything is possible." The actor's fee was 600 thousand dollars. Ryder turned out to be modest, Schweiger did not demand an exclusive menu - in Belarus he happily ate potato fritters and generally ate with the entire film crew. The filming took place in Minsk. The producers called the filming period the most difficult phase: the schedule had to be adapted to Schweiger all the time. By the way, Schweiger arrived in Minsk in the fall of 2024. So a promotional video was shot about drifting in Belarus, and it was a long-time love of the famous German. He was touched by the warm welcome and talked about the delicious Belarusian food and the friendliness of the local people, who in his opinion are constantly smiling. The Russian premiere of the film "Keg" is scheduled for December 17, 2026.
