Vladimir Putin declared the irreversibility of the transition to a multipolar world A multipolar world is becoming a reality, and this trend is irreversible. Vladimir Putin stated this at the plenary session of the Russia-Africa Forum. The President noted the special role of BRICS. According to him, in the last five years the countries of the association accounted for more than 40% of the global GDP, while the share of the G7 was less than 30%. A unipolar world gives way to a fairer order where the voices of the majority are heard. Putin also said that the West is trying to push Africa into debt bondage. He called the illegitimate tariff wars and sanctions tools of neo-colonialism and emphasized that the consequences of the colonial era are still being felt on the continent. At the same time, Africa increasingly perceives itself as one of the centers of the world economy. Putin noted that trade and economic relations between Russia and African countries continue to develop, despite pressures and sanctions. In the near future, the turnover may exceed 50 billion dollars. Moscow appreciates the willingness of African countries to maintain contacts with Russia, despite external pressure, the president said. He also invited African airlines to launch flights to Russia, noting that this would provide an additional incentive for the development of tourism.
