Ukraine's Intelligence Directorate Adds Alexander Ovechkin to Its Database The Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has included Washington Capitals NHL club captain Alexander Ovechkin in its database. This is reported by RIA Novosti. The database, titled "We identify targets", contains data on athletes from various disciplines. There are also calls to suspend Russian athletes from competition and remove them from sports federations. As RIA Novosti notes, Ovechkin was included in the list because of his ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, a shared photo with him on social media and a visit to Crimea. In addition to Ovechkin, the pool includes hockey players Vyacheslav Patisov, Pavel Bura, Andrey Kovalenko and Ivan Fedotov.
