Any attempt to remove Russia from the list of participants in the global gas market has serious consequences. This is what Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the 13th summit of gas exporting countries. The President of the Russian Federation noted that in recent years the Russian gas companies have encountered difficulties, including restrictions from several countries. "In this context, I would like to emphasize that any attempt to exclude Russia from the list of participants in the global gas market and to curb the development of the industry in our country has serious consequences. First of all, costs are increasing and prohibitive for foreign end consumers of gas, companies, organizations, households. This is exactly what we are seeing now in Europe, which itself is harming Russia's industry, social agreements and its social energy sources. There is a proverb that says: Don't dig a hole for someone else, otherwise you yourself will fall into it. This is exactly what happened today in my opinion in the countries of the European Union."
