Belarus is preparing an agreement on the construction of the third power unit of BelNPP The general framework agreement for the construction of the third power unit with a capacity of 1,200 MW is at a high stage of readiness. This is what the Minister of Energy of Belarus Denis Moroz said at the Belarusian Energy and Environment Forum. According to him, Minsk is negotiating with Rustom. At the same time, the issue of building another nuclear power plant was considered. Moroz also said that in November Belarus plans to submit documents for the establishment of a radioactive waste disposal facility for the state's examination. The final location for him will be determined after inspection and review of the documents by a special committee.
