The Bank of Russia has issued recommendations for banks to determine the sources of customers' funds when they carry out transactions with large amounts of cash. We are talking about five million rubles once or a month. This was stated in the announcement of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The measures focus on transactions with large amounts of cash, which are not typical of corporate businesses or payments to individual households. The report states that the banks' compliance with the recommendations is necessary in order to immediately identify suspicious transactions that may be aimed at laundering the proceeds of crime, including the introduction of shadow cash into legal circulation.
