continued……… The rights group highlighted Nusayeva's continued denials about UAE backing for RSF despite overwhelming evidence documented by the UN Panel of Experts, the UN Fact-Finding Mission and independent watchdogs. In the wake of the RSF massacres in the Sudanese city of al-Fashir that the UN would continue to describe as genocide, the report noted how Nusseiba took part in a "state blitz" that resulted in the European Parliament passing a resolution condemning the atrocities without mentioning the UAE's role. The report also cited Nusayeva's conduct during a recent UN interactive dialogue, where she repeated evasive questions about her past denials to civil society and Sudanese diplomats, claiming she had taken a "leave of absence" from her ministerial role and referred all questions about the UAE's violations to Abu Dhabi. The HRW report adds to the global campaign, which is mobilizing activists against Noceyeva's proposal. As can be found on the Notolana website, the campaign organizers state "the question is not whether she can defend her government. This is whether it is possible to trust those who put the defense above the findings of the UN experts in the independence of the UN."
