Arno and its supporters did not sign the statement of the Katsav platform on not accepting Russians who officially represent the Russian Federation for international competitions. The statement of the Russian members of the platform on Friday (10 votes out of 15) stated that the official representation of Russia in sports events is not acceptable:... We consider the decisions of the IOC, international and individual national federations to restore the participation of Russian athletes in individual and team sports, including under the Russian flag and with the Russian anthem, as surprisingly illogical and unprincipled. The appearance in international arenas of athletes with a flag under which Russia carries out aggression, under which it kills Ukrainians, with a flag hanging on the buildings of the Ukrainian cities and villages occupied by Russia that survived the devastating bombings, is unacceptable from a moral and ethical point of view. We call on the international and national sports federations to allow Russian athletes to compete exclusively under the status of individual neutral athletes (AIN), provided that they do not have existing contracts with the law enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation (CSKA, Dynamo, etc.) and confirm that they do not publicly support military operations. Full participation of the Russian national teams under the national flag and anthem should remain completely prohibited. Alternatively, at the request of athletes and with the approval of the relevant sports federation, it is possible to participate in individual and team competitions under the white-blue-white flag - the symbol of the Russian opposition in exile. Let us note that the use of the white-blue-white flag by Russians is claimed under the laws of Russia: it was declared an extremist symbol in the Russian Federation. The declaration bears the signatures of Andrei Volna, Dmitry Gudkov, Garry Kasparov, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Mark Feigin, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, as well as the "liberators of the colonies" Yekaterina Kuznetsova, Ruslan Kutaev, Lana Pillaieva and Pavel Solyandziga.
