The US has imposed sanctions on eight Canadian companies for ties to Iran. ⠀.

The US Treasury Department included in the list of sanctions financial companies and stock exchanges that, according to the department, helped the Iranian regime. This was stated in a statement from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

The restrictions included BC Ltd, Ontario Ltd, B Galaxy Inc, CCC Inc, Dervish Exchange, Diversified Trade Ltd, Nia Nations Currency Ltd and Top PC Technician Inc. Companies provide currency exchange, money transfer and cryptocurrency transaction services. The list also included the cryptocurrency addresses of some on the TRON network.

The sanctions provide for the blocking of assets under US jurisdiction and the prohibition of transactions with these companies for US citizens and organizations.
