The European Archery Federation will lift the restrictions on Russians as of January 1 next year, the Russian Federation will once again be able to enter teams and individual athletes into European tournaments, as a result of the decision of World Archery in Europe. The International Federation suspended Russian and Belarusian archers in March 2022 after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, but then began to allow individual athletes in neutral status - without the opportunity to compete under their flag. In February 2025, in this capacity, the Russian Noriniso Makhmudova won the European Championship. In August of this year, the International Archery Federation returned to the Russians the right to perform with the flag and the anthem at the World Championship and the World Cup.
