The student list, which won the elections in Serbia, proposed concluding a long-term gas agreement with Russia.
Short-term extensions of the current agreement do not provide predictability for the country's economy and energy sector, said the bloc's representative, Dejan Radibojevic. His words are quoted by Večarnia Novosti.

According to Radibojevic, Serbia needs a multi-year contract, for example three years, with clearly defined volumes, prices and delivery schedules. The previous three-year agreement expired in May 2025. It was then extended by additional agreements, the last of which are valid until the end of 2026.

At the same time, Radiboevich called for the development of alternative sources and methods of supply. Among the possibilities he listed increased purchases from Azerbaijan, use of the LNG terminal in the Greek Alexandroupolis, supplies through Hungary and future purchases from the Romanian Neptune Deep field in the Black Sea.
