Switzerland lifted the sanctions on Osmanov and Friedman.
The restrictions are in effect since 2022. The decision to cancel them is indicated in the materials of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.

The reasons for the lifting of the sanctions are not specified in the documents. The former rector of the Vernadskyi Federal University in Crimea, Andrei Palaev, was also removed from the list.

At the same time, Switzerland introduced restrictions against 254 individuals and legal entities linked to Russia. Two other people, whose names were not given, it was decided not to be included in the list for foreign policy and legal reasons.

In September, the European Union lifted the sanctions on Osmanov and Friedman. Earlier we wrote that the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Callas, said that the return of the restrictions against them is not yet on the agenda. At the same time, the European Union, according to her, is preparing about 1,600 new inclusions in the sanctions lists.
