Lavrov will go to the USA for the G20 meeting, despite the sanctions.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will lead the delegation at the meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Atlanta on October 30-31, Bloomberg reports, citing department spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

According to her, Moscow intends to use the negotiations to advance Russian proposals to strengthen "the foundations of a multipolar world."

Bloomberg points out that Lavrov has international sanctions due to Russia's war against Ukraine. His trip will take place against the background of increased contacts between Moscow and Washington. In December, US President Donald Trump plans to host the G20 leaders' summit in Miami.
