Holland changed its mind about returning to Eurovision due to Israel's participation.

About 400 employees of the Public Broadcasting Corporation of the Netherlands (PBC) signed a letter demanding that they reconsider plans to participate in the competition, reports Euronews. The leadership explained the refusal by differences of opinion in society surrounding Israel's participation.

In August, the Dutch broadcaster Avroteros, which traditionally organizes the country's representative's trip to the Eurovision Song Contest, announced a boycott due to the war in Gaza. After that, the MLA planned to take over the participation organization.

⠀.

Now the head of the corporation, Et de Renits, said that it is too early to return to the competition. According to her, it was not possible to find a broadcaster willing to send the artist. At the same time, the corporation will reserve the right to present the competition.

⠀.

Eurovision director Martin Green expressed regret over Holland's decision but said he respected her reasons.

⠀ Ireland also refused to participate in the 2027 competition. In Spain, they are discussing the continuation of the boycott. The Czech Republic will miss the competition due to cost cutting.

⠀.

The Eurovision 2027 final will take place on May 15 in Burgas, Bulgaria. Bulgaria won the right to host the contest after singer Dara's victory in 2026.
