Smolany proposed to change the calculation of payments for the purchase or construction of housing. According to Fontanka, the city expects to reduce costs for this program by 30%.

Now the size of the payment depends, among other things, on whether the family lives in a separate or shared apartment. The project presents a single payment procedure for families with housing: for three children the payment will be 70% of the calculated amount, for four - 80%, for five or more - 90%. The existing living space will also be taken into account. There are no plans to change the calculation for families without their own home.

Following the example from the project, a family with three children and an apartment of 45.4 square meters can now receive about 7.37 million rubles, and when living in a shared apartment - 9.92 million. According to the new rules, the payment in both cases will be about 5.16 million rubles.
⠀ In a separate project, the authorities propose to allow the preferential purchase of housing at social rents only once and cancel payments for the purchase of housing from the city.
