The City Duma of Novorossiysk announced a competition for the selection of candidates for the position of mayor, the press service of the City Duma reported. Documents from candidates will be accepted from November 23 to December 29, 2026, the competition itself is scheduled for February 9, 2027. The competition will take place in two stages: first, the committee will evaluate the documents and admit candidates, and then conduct individual interviews with points from 0 to 10. At least two leading leaders will be represented, and at least two mayors. A term of five years. Since December 2021, the city has been managed by Andriy Kravchenko, whose mandate will expire on December 29, 2026.
