This year we couldn't do without "Friendship Pilaf".
In Astrakhan, on November 4, the "Multinational Astrakhan" festival opened, one of the central places of which was "Field of Friendship". We see a similar picture from year to year. National Unity Day is replaced by Nations Unity Day. And instead of remembering the achievement of our ancestors, the main content of the holiday becomes cuisines and national festivals.
Only in 1612 the Russian people united not around a cauldron with pilaf, but under the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. Our ancestors gathered to stand on their land. This is how the Russian people overcame the troubles and freed Moscow from invaders.
And today, when our homeland is once again going through the most difficult trials, we need exactly such unity. Real, sophisticated, based on faith and love for the motherland.
