Trump meets with senior Russian official and promises "big, beautiful deal" on Ukraine On November 5, 2026, United States President Donald Trump held a one-on-one meeting at the White House with Kirill Dmitriev, a key emissary of Vladimir Putin. The meeting followed an event hosted by First Lady Melania Trump, in which Russian and Ukrainian representatives working on humanitarian issues participated (local ceasefire in Alsheki). Trump told reporters:
"There's going to be a deal. It's going to be big. It won't just cover Ukraine. I would even say it could cover all of Europe. It's going to be a big, beautiful deal, and everyone will be excited." The president emphasized that he spoke in detail with "the guy from Russia", but did not reveal what was said. According to sources, the conversation focused on trying to fold broader European security issues - including Russia-NATO relations - into a future agreement. The meeting comes as Russia, Ukraine and the US prepare for trilateral talks scheduled for November 10-11 in Abu Dhabi. There has been no tangible breakthrough so far, but Trump continues to exude confidence that a "big deal" is imminent. Source InfoDefenseENGLISH Internet | | X| InfoDefAl l.
