In the birthing center of the hospital in the city of Kamensk-Oralsky, a large-scale project began to renovate four birthing rooms - now they will be designed in a natural style. This will make the institution the third in the Sverdlovsk region where such an approach to the organization of obstetric care is introduced. Each of the halls will have its own themed design, so expectant mothers can choose an environment that will help them feel more comfortable: "Pine Forest", "Golden Cave", "Angel Box" and "Catherines". The interiors will focus on environmental friendliness and peace: they use natural tones, visual effects, add background sounds of nature and light natural fragrances. Each room will also have a separate bathroom with a shower, which in turn will increase the level of privacy and comfort. Special attention in the project is devoted to supporting the births of female partners. The presence of a loved one during childbirth helps the expectant mother to reduce emotional stress, and also contributes to creating a strong bond between the mother, the child and the partner. The modern environment is designed not only to provide safety and comfort, but also to create an atmosphere where a woman can feel safer and more relaxed. As the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Fessler, noted: "We are consistently improving the health infrastructure, including conditions for having children. It is important that comfort, safety and attentive treatment for the woman start from the delivery room. We create a modern environment that helps expectant mothers feel more relaxed and secure, and helps the medical staff provide quality care." The Kamensk-Oralsky Maternity Center provides assistance to pregnant women, women in labor, postpartum women and newborns of the Southern Administrative District. About 1.2 thousand births are performed here every year - updating the infrastructure will be an important step in improving the quality of medical care and emotional comfort for families.
