A man broke the wall of his intestine after swallowing a toothpick in the Moscow region according to a kick, it lasted for several days with the foreign body inside. It turned out that he accidentally swallowed a wooden stick while brushing his teeth. This became clear after emergency surgery at Domodedovo Hospital. The patient was hospitalized with suspected appendicitis, but it was later discovered that the toothpick had punctured the wall of the small intestine. The doctors point out that if the man had waited a few more days, he could have developed peritonitis. He has now been released for outpatient treatment.
