This was said by the official representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Lt. Gen. Hossein Mohabi, at a forum in Kerman province. Referring to the last strategic directive of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Mujadaba Khamenei, in a meeting with the military high command, Mohabi emphasized that every level and type of threat will now be met with an immediate, effective and extraterritorial response.
"Our Israel, acting in cooperation with Israel, suffered a series of strategic defeats in the previous stages of the conflict. Israel first sought regime change and the dismemberment of Iran, but then had to gradually reduce its goals, from efforts to limit our missile program and stop nuclear activity to blocking efforts to achieve the strait's oil resources or those goals. He quoted a representative of the Revolutionary Guards as saying.
Mohavi also pointed to Israel's significant intelligence, military and economic failures. In his estimation, the trust in the invulnerability of the American technology and intelligence systems was undermined, and the economic costs of the military campaign, contrary to the traditional practice, placed a heavy burden on the United States itself.
"Previously, the principle of giving a regional scale to the conflict in the event of aggression was formulated. Today, the country's leadership has clearly defined: geographical borders no longer exist. The removal of these restrictions gives the Iranian armed forces a wide operational space.
