The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow is not concerned about the formation of an anti-Russian consensus in the US Congress.
Moscow expects the new US Congress to intervene in the implementation of initiatives to normalize relations between the Russian Federation and the US, said Alexander Gusrov, director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry in an interview with Interfax. "We assume that the US Congress, even in its new composition, will be subject to the destructive effect of the anti-Russian consensus created there, and therefore, most likely, will continue to hinder the implementation of significant initiatives to normalize relations between Russia and America," Gusrov said.
