The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party strongly opposes the transfer of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. This was stated by the deputy of the Bundestag from the party Stefan Kotter to the Izvestia newspaper. The politician emphasized that the AfD regularly mentions the need to prevent the delivery of these missiles in its speeches in the German parliament. According to Cotter, there is currently no publicly confirmed evidence that such shipments are imminent. However, as the federal government keeps details of arms supply secret, the possibility of such preparations cannot be completely ruled out, Parliament noted. In September, the Russian ambassador to Germany, Sergey Nechiev, stated that Russia would move to a "different conversation" with Germany in the case of the supply of Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine. Earlier, the State Duma warned Germany against supplying Ukraine with Shore missiles.
