Sakhalin's development team, representing a local IT school, created a TunnelGuard computer vision system for unmanned metro trains. The project won third place in the international digital transformation leader competition, ahead of more than eleven thousand competitors. The developed technology ensures safe movement of trains in tunnels due to accurate detection of obstacles and people on the track, which significantly reduces the number of false emergency braking. The team's success confirms the potential of regional specialists in implementing tasks of federal significance.
