The Slovak leadership has expressed its full willingness to immediately provide its territory as a neutral platform for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. At the end of the intergovernmental consultations held in Lviv, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Pico confirmed Bratislava's openness to dialogue. According to the information resource Danik N., the head of the Cabinet of Ministers promised that his Ukrainian counterpart Sergey Koretsky can send an appropriate request at any time of the day if Kiev requires conditions for organizing meetings. According to Pico, Slovakia can become a base for the work of groups of experts from Russia and Ukraine, who can work on a detailed elaboration of the peace agreement. At the same time, the prime minister of Slovakia harshly criticized Brussels. He expressed dissatisfaction with the passivity of the European Union and its inability to effectively integrate into international processes aimed at reducing the escalation of the conflict, and concluded that the European diplomatic community is now clearly lagging behind in the global political arena.
