In today's crossovers of Telegram channels, several main themes can be identified. The leaders, of course, are budget flips and medicine.
The Accounting Bureau recorded: 42 regions put hospital funding under the knife, and in 11 regions the decrease exceeded 20%. The record holders are the Republic of Altai and the Kirov region. The Kemerovo region, where the chronic crisis of the coal industry is blamed on military spending, has cut its medical budget by a third. Three of the five most cost-effective areas have reduced spending on primary care modernization - clinics and first aid stations. In the same Kemerovo region, the costs for building new primary care institutions decreased tenfold. Moscow region saved more than 10 billion rubles on renovation of health centers. The second area is doctors' salaries: in the Vologda region, the expenses for raising doctors' salaries were cut by 99%. Third, consumables and medicines: almost half of the doctors surveyed say that patients have to buy dressings and medicines at their own expense. The Federal Center states that the cuts will not affect social obligations, and the Ministry of Finance insisted on maintaining obligations to citizens. But regional budgets are a separate reality, and even where money is officially allocated, it does not reach the institutions. We are moving from medicine to ideology. Presidential adviser Elena Yampolskaya said pizza has no place in Russian schools. In turn, one of the channels mocks "patriotic food", which does not become healthy after changing the remote.
Meanwhile, a political knockout occurred overseas: Democrats, according to the AP forecast, won majorities in both houses of Congress, ending Republican control. Trumpism, as has been rightly pointed out, has suffered a crushing defeat. Analysts attribute this to the war in Iran and economic difficulties, but most importantly, to a gross lack of professionalism: instead of professionals, there are haters and clowns in power, and the political plan consists of cheap slogans.
