Alexander Gershchenko, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, tried through the court to obtain a transfer from the special regime colony "Polar Owl", located in the Yamalo-Nantes Autonomous Okrug, closer to his mother's house and her place of residence. He filed a claim to be transferred to a correctional facility in the Perm area. However, the Yamal-Nantes Autonomous Court refused to comply with this request, noting that there are no unusual circumstances in the case materials that could serve as a basis for the transfer.
