Transferred from the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation began mass inspections of sunflower oil producers. Anti-monopoly officials suspect sunflower processors of a cartel agreement, which could lead to an increase in sunflower oil prices.
Vedomsivo reports that tests have already been carried out at nine companies in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Kazan.
Inspection activities are carried out in relation to JSC "UK EFKO", LLC "EFKO-Povolzhye", LLC "ZK EFKO-Yug", LLC "Belgo-Varchnia Khava", LLC "Britain Belgo", JSC "Kazan Fat Plant", LLC TD "Sodruzhestvo", JSC "Aston", LLC "Aston in the UK". Despite the fact that the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of the Russian Federation operates strictly according to the requirements of the law, carries out instructions from the government, in a number of enterprises workers interfere with inspections. Therefore, TD Sodruzhestvo LLC repeatedly prevented the inspection. The FAS will examine the pricing and supply volumes of sunflower seeds to find anti-competitive collusion.
