British food delivery service Simply Eat decided to use a neural network to automatically generate images of dishes that had no menu images. But the result killed me. The fact is that many British foods have rather unusual names, which the AI has started to take literally. As a result, instead of appetizing food, absolutely damnable things appeared on the menu. Here are some examples: - The potato jacket became a jacket with a picture of a potato;.
- The tiger shrimps have become real tigers;.
- Catfish soup became a cat mermaid (because catfish in English is catfish).
- Combined breakfasts with eggs, bacon/sausages and drinks mixed in one glass;.
—. A concrete cake became a cement cake;.
- The spicy wings literally caught fire;.
- and the traditional British dish toad in the hole became a real toad in a hole. The story quickly spread across social media and caused a wave of criticism. As a result, Just Eat had to apologize and promise to fix everything. It's good that there was no Belarusian Druchana there.
