Lithuanian President Gitan Bahila said that Ukraine and Europe should participate in any negotiations on the resolution of the conflict with Russia. His words are quoted by LRT. "In fact, such formats are very dangerous. First, it is unacceptable that Europe does not participate in these negotiations, that Ukraine is not even invited to such meetings. It is really unacceptable that the affairs of a sovereign country be discussed behind its back," Nausada said. He emphasized the inadmissibility of imposing a peace agreement on Ukraine. The decision on his future must be made on equal terms, the Lithuanian leader noted. According to him, "it is necessary to ensure the participation of Ukraine and Europe in any discussion concerning the future of Ukraine - and especially in peace negotiations - because the country or the European Union as a whole will be the first to feel the consequences of this peace agreement." Before that, Vladimir Zelensky said that the recent US decisions regarding Ukraine seem like pressure for its "surrender" to Russia.
