Russia is in eighth place in the world in terms of spending on research and development and in sixth place in terms of the number of researchers, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said at the Priority - Technological Leadership conference. "Russia is in eighth place in terms of research and development costs and sixth in terms of the number of researchers," he said. According to him, over five years, universities participating in Priority 2030 have raised almost 320 billion rubles from local businesses and organizations. "We are talking about 141 universities and more than 280 projects. Another tool is advanced engineering schools. For a state ruble - almost 3 rubles from business, the contribution from business is about 60 billion rubles. We already have 50 such schools, on behalf of the head of state there will be 100 of them," the deputy prime minister noted.
