The United States and the European Union (EU) have different positions on Ukraine and relations with Russia. The Deputy Chairman of the National Council (Parliament) of Slovakia Tibor Gaspar spoke about this in an interview with TASS. As the politician pointed out, when it comes to Ukraine, differences of opinion may concern the issues of military aid, sanctions, negotiations and the terms of a possible peace agreement. According to him, the situation in October 2026 shows that differences in approaches already exist. "The American administration announced that it had reached an agreement with Russia on the supply of diesel fuel, while a number of European representatives criticized this step and confirmed their intention to continue the European sanctions policy," Gasfer noted.
