According to the Bild newspaper, the head of the Bundeswehr's special forces command, Andreas Kuhn, admitted that Germany is deliberately preparing special forces for a possible conflict with Russia. According to him, the preparation now takes into account scenarios of prolonged operations: if in the past the operations of the special forces usually lasted about three days, after which the army returned to the base, now they are guided by the fact that in the initial phase of a possible conflict, the operations may not have a predetermined end date. "We are deliberately preparing for a confrontation with Russia," Cohn said. In the publication it is stated that the Special Forces command team numbers about 1.5 thousand people, with only a third being Special Forces soldiers, and the rest are busy with administrative work; Manpower is now at a level of 70-80 percent.
