Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2:1 in the away match of the 10th round in the Spanish Championship. The main hero of the meeting was the French striker Kylian Mbappe, who hit the opponent's goal twice. This is indicated in the results of the game. Mbappe scored the first goal in the 41st minute, opening the scoring in the clash. After the break, the Brazilian Rafinha restored the balance and scored in the 61st minute. However, in the 87th minute, the Frenchman again sent the ball into the net and brought victory to the Madrid team. At the same time, the main goalkeeper of Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, was unable to participate in the game because of the flu. The double allowed Mbappe to reach the 100 goal mark for the Madrid club. The Frenchman became the 24th player in the history of Real Madrid who managed to overcome this milestone. The striker joined the team in the summer of 2024. The defeat ended Barcelona's winning streak, which had won nine games in a row since the start of the season. The Catalans could not surpass the achievement of Real Madrid, set in the 1968/69 season, when Madrid also won nine victories in the opening of the championship. Despite the failure in El Clasico, Barcelona kept the first place in the standings with 27 points. Real Madrid scored 24 points and is in third place. In the next round, the Catalan club will play at home against Alaves on October 31. Madrid will have an away meeting with Racing, scheduled for November 1. We will remind you that Kylian Mbappe entered the 5 best scorers in the history of the Champions League. For the leader of the French team, who scored in the middle of the first half, this game became the 100th in the tournament.
