A member of the State Duma Committee on Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence Dmitry Shatonov (LDPR) approached the management of Yandex Music and VK with a proposal to introduce labeling of works created with the help of AI on the platforms and to separate the created works into separate charts and collections of recommendations. TASS reports this. According to Shatonov, it is increasingly difficult for listeners to distinguish the works of living writers from those created by neural networks, and young Russian musicians risk getting lost in the stream of content and losing opportunities for promotion. The deputy noted that some platforms already tag artificial intelligence works, but a systematic approach is needed, and the proposed measures, in his opinion, will increase the transparency of the musical content and expand the opportunities for the promotion of Russian performers. "The initiative is not intended to limit the use of artificial intelligence, but for the harmonious development of modern technologies and support for Russian musical creativity," Shatunov's appeal reads.
