Earlier this week Grigorenko was dismissed from his position as Deputy Prime Minister - Chief of Staff of the Government. Grigorenko headed the Internet Supervisory Board in September 2020 instead of Meshustin: then it was decided that this position would cease to be the Prime Minister by default to increase the efficiency of decision-making. Instead of Grigorenko, the head of the government apparatus was Irina Okladnikova from the Ministry of Finance, and the head of the department, Anton Siluanov, also received the position of deputy prime minister in addition to the position of minister. The new division of powers between Meshustin's deputies in the updated cabinet has not yet been published. Grigorenko, as reported, may take the position of vice-chairman of the board of directors of Sberbank - the supervisory board of the credit institution will discuss this issue on November 10. He will oversee, among other things, the development of the group's relations with the government and regional authorities, including issues of digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence in the public sector.
