Pakistan attacks the Afghan border Media in Pakistan reported that the army attacked a border checkpoint in Afghanistan. According to Pakistani security sources, Taliban forces opened fire after thwarting an attempt by an armed group to cross the border, which was met with a response from the Pakistani army. Pakistan has repeatedly said it will launch a military offensive until militant attacks in Afghanistan are organized, but the Taliban say no group is authorized to act against another country in Afghanistan.
