The proposed criteria for operating the non-conventional water exchange market were published in the energy exchange. According to this proposed plan, it is possible to offer in the energy exchange water produced in wastewater treatment plants and water softeners through the issuance of deposit and output certificates. The draft regulation of the non-conventional water exchange market in the energy exchange was published in the laws and regulations information base system in the country. According to the regulation of the non-conventional water exchange market in the energy exchange, published in the information system of the laws and regulations in the country, the supply and transaction framework of non-conventional water was established through a commodity deposit certificate and a capacity certificate. According to this proposed plan, producers and investors in the field of wastewater treatment and water softeners can supply their produced water in the energy exchange after obtaining the required permits. Also, water industries and other eligible consumers can settle some of their water consumption obligations and bills by purchasing non-conventional water deposit certificates. If this proposed plan is finally completed, the transactions of this type of water will be carried out at the Iran Energy Exchange hub and through mechanisms such as unconventional water deposit certificates and capacity certificates.
