A guardian in the Omsk region stole more than 3.6 million rubles from a child. In the Omsk region, a court convicted a guardian who stole more than 3.6 million rubles from her juvenile department. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office. The court found that from 2020 to 2024 the guardian systematically transferred funds intended for the child to her accounts: social allowances for loss of breadwinner, pension savings and other benefits. The woman managed the money at her discretion, without investing it in the maintenance and development of the department. The total amount of damage exceeded 3.6 million rubles. The court found the guardian guilty and sentenced her to three years of probation with a two-year probationary period, and also required her to fully compensate for the damage and pay compensation for moral damage in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. Also, the woman is denied the right to engage in guardianship activities for 5 years. According to the prosecutor's office, the culprit was previously prosecuted for a similar offense, but remained free.
