Zeligder's securities collapsed amid a criminal case against the shareholders.

Zeligder's securities collapsed amid a criminal case against the shareholders.

Gold miner Zeligdar's bond prices fell more than 28% on November 5, while the company's shares lost more than 20%. The sale took place against the background of the news of the intensification of the charges against the company's co-owners, Sergey Vasiliev and Konstantin Bayrit. Those involved in the theft of ₽8.8 billion from six non-state pension funds were charged with organizing a criminal community, as reported by Kommentar.

Additional risks for investors are related to the financial situation of Zeligder itself. The company's debt is 3.7 times EBITDA, and it faces big repayments in 2027-2028, Market Force analysts warn.

The chief financial market analyst of JSC IC Vector Capital, Alexey Golovinov, also pointed out the risks in shares, recalling that Vasiliev Bezligder's share was previously arrested, and the arrest was later lifted.

Find out more about how serious the risks are for holders of Zeligdar securities.
