Russia has launched 115 missiles, nearly 1,900 air-guided bombs and more than 3,000 drones against Ukraine over the past week (photos attached). The massive bombardment targeted cities, residential areas and energy infrastructure, leaving more than 600,000 people without electricity in and around Dnipro, while 140 apartment buildings lost heating in Zhytomyr. In Komishovakha, Zaporizhia region, Russian airstrikes have killed at least 55 people, as rescue operations continue amid more drone attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said many Russian missiles were produced in 2026 and called on Western allies to strengthen air defenses and impose tougher sanctions on the Russian arms industry, particularly through the European Union's 22nd sanctions package.
On the other hand, Ukraine also launched extensive missile and UAV attacks against Russian territory last week, targeting oil refineries in Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Epifsk and Saratov, along with other energy and military facilities.
Ukrainian forces also attacked the Proton-Electrotex plant in Oryol with Neptune missiles, targeting a manufacturer of components for Russian missile systems. Explosions and fires were reported at several locations, while a large warehouse fire near the Almaz defense plant in Rostov-on-Don remains under investigation.
The Russian Defense Ministry said its forces intercepted 5,315 Ukrainian drones, 4 Flamingo cruise missiles and 6 Neptune missiles during the week ending November 6.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that attacks on the Russian oil industry will continue in response to Russian bombing of Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
