Police officers from the Etz Yitzhak unit arrested 7 Arabs who tried to enter Israel illegally from the West Bank through the A-Zeim crossing, near Jerusalem. During a routine security operation, the officers stopped a suspicious vehicle carrying 6 passengers without valid entry permits. The driver, who also lacked an entry permit to Israel, grew a beard and dressed in orthodox Jewish clothing, including a kippah, in an apparent attempt to evade. Further inspection revealed that the vehicle had been scrapped and replacement license plates had been installed. All 7 people, residents of the Hebron and Tulkarm area, were arrested for questioning, while the vehicle was stopped for confiscation.
