At least 10 American military transport planes landed at Israel's Nabatim and Oda air bases within 24 hours, with additional flights to military facilities in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar amid increased US military activity across the Middle East, as President Donald Trump considers renewed strikes against Iran. Some of the planes came from Fort Bliss, Texas, home of a major US air defense center. Their arrival may indicate efforts to replenish Israel's inventory of interceptors and the possibility of deploying additional air defense batteries, such as Patriot systems. Washington has warned regional allies to prepare for possible military action following the November 3 US midterm elections and possible Iranian retaliation. Trump has not made a final decision, while the Pentagon continues to strengthen regional defenses, redeploy forces and renew military supplies.
